From the vibrant streets of Jakarta to the iconic landmarks of London and the stunning landscapes of Bishkek, the team’s journey has been filled with inspiring conversations, valuable insights, and a shared commitment to revolutionising the way financial institutions around the world conduct business across borders.
Engaging with Southeast Asia's financial leaders in Jakarta
Jakarta, Indonesia was our first stop, where we hosted a workshop for delegates from central and commercial banks across Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines from the 21st to 23rd of February. The event brought together diverse perspectives and experiences, as attendees explored how RTGS.global's technology can improve cross-border settlement within the region.
We kicked things off with a sushi-making class as an icebreaker activity, giving the participants a chance to get to know each other. We then delved into the main event where guest speakers from Mastercard and FNA joined us to share their insights and expertise with attendees. The RTGS.global team also ran a series of insightful presentations and discussions to tackle topics ranging from the current challenges in cross-border transactions to the benefits of leveraging RTGS.global’s technology and the future landscape of cross-border settlement in the region.
The three days spent in Jakarta were incredibly fruitful, providing a platform for attendees to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration and innovation across ASEAN. The discussions and insights shared served as a springboard for future partnerships and initiatives that will drive the transformation of cross-border settlement in Southeast Asia.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who took the time to participate and contribute to the success of this event.
Networking and unveiling our latest white paper in London
The 29th of February saw an unforgettable evening at the iconic Tower Bridge venue in London, that combined networking opportunities with the launch of our highly anticipated whitepaper, “Cross-Border Settlement with Certainty”.
The event's highlight was an inspiring speech by Olympic champion Amy Williams, who captivated the audience with her incredible journey from missing the Olympic squad to winning a gold medal four years later. Amy's story of perseverance, hard work, and dedication struck a chord with our audience. Her determination to overcome barriers and push beyond her limits resonated deeply with RTGS.global’s mission to revolutionise the payments space.
It highlights the pressing need for innovation in the industry and presents compelling use cases that demonstrate how RTGS.global's technology can revolutionise different aspects of cross-border payments, ushering in a new era of speed, transparency, and efficiency.
Expanding our global presence in Bishkek
In addition to the events in Jakarta, the RTGS.global team was also present in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on the 28th of February, engaging with Central Asian financial institutions and stakeholders.
RTGS.global’s Head of Business Development in CEE and MENA, Tomas Pithart, took to the stage at the Plus Forum - Digital Kyrgyzstan, where he spoke on removing friction for cross-border payments across Asia. As a Platinum Sponsor for the event, the team was also on the ground to speak with attendees about the potential of RTGS.global’s solutions for the region’s financial landscape while sharing about successful partnerships with regional banks.
The event provided an excellent platform for building relationships in the region as we continue to expand our global presence.
We are always grateful for the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders across the globe, and we look forward to continuing these meaningful discussions and collaborations.
