We are pleased to announce that RTGS.global will be a primary sponsor of the inaugural Silk Road Cash & Payments Conference in Almaty, Kazakhstan from the 27th to the 29th of March 2023.
As this new event is aimed at bringing global knowledge and experience to Central Asia and surrounding markets, we could not be more excited to send an RTGS.global contingent to join other delegates from across the payments industry to promote our offering.
There will be three formal opportunities to hear from members of our team at the event.
Marcus Treacher, one of our Board Directors, will be giving a main stage presentation on Payments Technology Innovation in Session 6b from 11:45 - 13:00 on 29th March.
- Marcus has over 35 years of experience banking and payments, over which time he has worked to drive innovation and business growth. He has held several leadership positions at HSBC, Citigroup, and Ripple. Marcus works with start-ups, FinTech disruptors, and industry groups to pioneer the payments landscape that will power our future digitised world.
Dani Heller, our Head of Regulatory Strategy, will be participating in the Pre-Conference Payments Workshop from 15:30 - 17:00 on 27th March.
- Dani is a monetary economist specialising in the regulation of FMIs. He has held various executive positions at the Swiss National Bank (SNB), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As Head of the Secretariat of the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) he was closely involved the drafting of the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI).
Paulo DaCosta, our Head of Sales, will sit on the Cross-Border Payments Panel in Session 5b from 09:45 - 11:15 on 29th March.
- Paulo has worked in the finance and institutional banking sectors for more than 30 years, and has held several senior Operational roles at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. He was also a senior Account Manager at SWIFT, advising on product development of BCBS 248 Intraday Monitoring Tools reporting suite.
